“Livermore developed the following rule from a great trader: Keep stress at bay – act in all ways to keep the mind clear and your judgment correct. Livermore did all he could to achieve this in his physical life by going to bed early, eating and drinking lightly, taking exercise, standing upright at the stock ticker, standing while on the telephone and demanding silence in the office. He made a rule to speak to no one on his way to work and he kept silence about his stock market transactions."
